Crescent Sapphire, Diamond & Pearl Brooch
£410.00
A Victorian brooch, boasting deep blue sapphires and old cut diamonds. It’s crescent moon holds an estimated diamond weight of 0.30ct, mounted onto a simple bar and pin back. Crescent moons in Victorian jewellery often represented spirituality and the glorification of the Feminine Moon Goddess. The crescent moon was also used to represent change, as a moon has multiple lunar phases.
Three lustrous pearls perfectly compliment the brooches ocean tones, finished with a safety chain. The brooch is set into both 9ct yellow gold and silver, typical of jewellery from this era.
Vintage boxes included in these photographs are for display only, however all items are presented in our own Jenny Jones branded, vintage style boxes.
