Sterling Silver & Paste Crescent Brooch Circa 1910
Circa 1910, this scalloped, crescent moon holds eleven graduated, faceted, paste stones mounted into 925 sterling silver settings, completed with a classic pin attachment on its reverse. Crescent moons in Victorian jewellery often represented spirituality and the glorification of the Feminine Moon Goddess. The crescent moon was also used to represent change, as a moon has multiple lunar phases.
Vintage boxes included in these photographs are for display only, however all items are presented in our own Jenny Jones branded, vintage style boxes.
